Dr. David Weaver

Dr. David Weaver recently moved to Monterey, California after retiring from over 35 years as a radiologist in Norfolk, Virginia, both as a teacher in two academic institutions and as a physician in private practice. David initially earned a PhD. in Chemistry and was a professor for seven years teaching at Carnegie Melon University and the University of Maine. His interest in medicine was born from his love of chemistry and his love of learning, and he decided to return to school to purse his MD. at Tufts University in Boston. As a radiologist he has been a consultant to physicians in both surgical and medical specialties. His science background helps him think outside the box and his love of teaching is especially useful in the current consulting service.
Throughout his career David has also vigorously pursued his other areas of interest, which include the fine art and music of the world, and an intense desire to travel to foreign lands to see the art, hear the music, and meet the people of other cultures. The incredible experiences of his world travels and exposure to foreign cultures has led to a slow conversion from the science of medicine to the art of medicine, and Dr. Weaver now maintains a humanistic view of medicine and healing that considers each patient as a complete human being composed of the three Greek principles of body, mind and spirit.
In his current consulting practice Dr. Weaver focuses on the medical aspects of each case, as well as the holistic health of every client he sees. His caring and compassionate nature allow him to treat each client as an individual worthy of respect and dignity, and his extensive teaching background is the perfect foundation for educating his consulting clients in a thorough and comprehensive way. He is genuinely interested in your overall health, and is eager to assist you in both understanding your diagnosis and achieving your treatment goals. Please feel free to schedule an initial free consultation to determine if the medical support Dr. Weaver can provide is what you and your loved ones need in a time of stress and uncertainty.
